Abuja Court stops Multichoice from increasing subscription

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has ordered Multichoice not to increase it’s tariff three weeks after doing so. Justice Nnamdi Dimgba on Monday asked the cable company, sued by the Federal Government, not to impose any hidden charges pending the determination of the plaintiff’s motion on notice for interlocutory injunction. The Imo State Police Command has arrested two women, Chizoba Eze and Amaka Eze, for allegedly buying newborn twins, Emmanuel and Emmanuela, for N1.8m in Umuahia, Abia State. The women, who were said to be from Enugu State, were paraded on Monday by the Imo State Police Public Relations Officer, Andrew Enwerem, who said the suspects were intercepted on Owerri-Aba Road. National Examinations Council, NECO, has released the June/July 2018 Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations, SSCE, with 71 percent of the candidates making five credits and above, inclu-ding English Language and Mathematics. Similarly, 90.5 percent scored five credits and above, irrespective of English language and Mathematics.
