The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on Monday recorded 565 new COVD-19 cases and eight deaths. This was made known in a statement by the NCDC on Tuesday. The centre said that this brings the total infections to 187, 588 since the index case in 2020. The Lagos State Ministry of Health has said more than 500 deaths were recorded in isolation centres across the state.
