A 34-year-old woman named Bidemi Damilola was discovered deceased near a piggery farm in the Mabolufon area of Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State. She had gone missing, and her husband, Adekunle Fetiga, reported her disappearance to the Igbeba Police Division when she didn’t return home after leaving on Thursday.
The circumstances of her death remain unclear, but a plastic bag with an unidentified liquid substance was found at the scene. Additionally, two pairs of slippers believed to be hers were located nearby. While there were no visible signs of violence on her body, an investigation has been initiated to determine the circumstances surrounding her disappearance and death.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, mentioned that a preliminary investigation is underway, and once completed, the case will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further examination. Bidemi Damilola’s body has been taken to the State Hospital Mortuary in Ijebu-Ode for an autopsy.
