Nurse and Suspect Sent Back to Custody, Bail Granted for Naira Marley and Sam Larry

In a recent development at the Lagos State Magistrates’ Court in Yaba, a 37-year-old auxiliary nurse named Fisayo Ogedengbe, who was arrested in connection with the controversial death of hip hop artiste Mohbad (Ilerioluwa Aloba), has been sent back to custody. The nurse is alleged to have administered injections that led to Mohbad’s death.

Additionally, Mohbad’s friend, Ayobani Sadiq, who is also a suspect in the case, has been ordered to return to police custody.

However, the magistrate, Adeola Olatunbosun, granted bail in the amount of N20 million each to Azeez Fashola (Naira Marley) and Lagos socialite Balogun Eletu (Sam Larry), who were implicated in Mohbad’s death and were taken into police custody on October 6. The bail conditions include providing three responsible sureties in the same sum, with one of the sureties owning a landed property. Naira Marley and Sam Larry are required to surrender their passports and make weekly appearances at the State Criminal Investigation Department as part of their bail conditions.

Magistrate Olatunbosun also emphasized that no one should attempt to contact her directly regarding the case, and any such attempts would be recorded and potentially disclosed in open court proceedings.

The police continue their investigation into the case, and the magistrate adjourned the matter until November 29 for advice from the Office of the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP).
