A 45-year-old woman, Kafayat Lawal, has been arrested by the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly stabbing her 17-year-old daughter Ayomide Adekoya with a broken bottle to death. The World Health Organisation (WHO), yesterday, raised the alarm that the global number of coronavirus (COVID-19) deaths during the previous week climbed by 21 per cent despite a rollout of the vaccination programme.
