A Marketing Officer of the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company, Mr James Olayemi,has been sentenced to six months imprisonment by a Kogi State Magistrates’ Court sitting in Lokoja on Thursday, for unlawful disconnection of electricity supply to a customer’s house. Chief Magistrate Tanko Muhammed jailed Olayemi and ordered the immediate reconnection of electricity supply to Mr Dennis Osanwuta’s house. Advocacy For Witches, AFAW, a group for witches in Cross River State, has commended Senator Ben Ayade for dismissing his Special Adviser on Forest Security, Mr Thomas Tawo aka “General Iron”. Following five new recorded deaths in Jama’are Local Government Area, the number of people killed by flood across Bauchi State since the 2021 rainy season started has increased to 13. The reintroduction of toll collections has been approved by the Federal Executive Council, on some selected dual carriageways across the country. This is as it exempted diplomatic, military, para-military vehicles, tricycles, motorcycles from the scheme.
