Nigerian dancer and entertainer, Poco Lee, has broken his silence over the sexual assault allegation against him in the United Kingdom, insisting that he is innocent of the accusations.
Poco Lee, whose real name is Iweh Pascal Odinaka, reportedly addressed the controversy during a conversation with social commentator VeryDarkMan.
The dancer maintained that he was confident throughout the ordeal because he knew he had not committed the offence alleged against him.
According to him, if he had actually committed the alleged offence, he would be prepared to face the consequences, but he insisted that his conscience was clear.
The allegation has generated considerable attention in Nigeria and the UK, particularly because the matter is before a British court.
Poco Lee’s denial, however, does not amount to a determination of the case. He remains entitled to the presumption of innocence unless and until a court determines otherwise.
His management had also previously cautioned against circulating unverified claims surrounding the case, including reports concerning alleged drink spiking, saying such claims should not be presented as established facts.
The case is expected to return to Snaresbrook Crown Court in London for a plea and trial-preparation hearing.
Further developments are expected as the legal proceedings continue.
