Total, Mobil, Others Yet To Remit N6tr Oil Revenue

The House of Representatives ad hoc committee investigating revenue leakages in the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) at the weekend said about N6 trillion from gas sales and royalties is yet to be remitted to the Consolidated Revenue Fund by oil majors operating in the country. According to the committee Chairman, Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe (PDP, Cross River) the leakages were the result of the faulty Production Sharing Contract (PSC), which gives room for the oil firms to fleece Nigeria of billions of naira revenue. It described the results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission as a daylight robbery. Ekiti state Governor, Ayo Fayose, yesterday in Ado Ekiti said he was brutalised by policemen who allegedly stormed the main entrance to the Ekiti State Government House to stop a rally by the Peoples Democratic Party. Supreme Court dismisses charges against Saraki

The trial of Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, on assets declaration and sundry charges instituted against him before the Code of Conduct Tribunal has been dismissed by the Supreme Court on Friday.
