The Presidential rally of the All Progressives Congress (APC), held on Monday at the MKO Abiola stadium, Abeokuta, was hurriedly brought to a close by the party due to violent attacks. The violence was said to have erupted due to actions of some of the aggrieved party supporters at the venue of the rally, who had decamped to the Allied Peoples Movement (APM). Okorocha removed as Imo campaign coordinator

Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, has been removed as the state campaign coordinator of the All Progressives Congress party by the National Working Committee of the campaign council. The decision followed the recommendation of the disciplinary committee set up by the Imo APC over allegations of anti-party activities levelled against the governor and others.
