Police in Lagos have arrested Hadijat Kabir, a 45-year-old housewife, for allegedly faking her kidnap and that of her 18-year-old daughter to defraud her husband of N15 million. Ghanaian pastor tells Christians to stop paying tithe, says it’s fraud

  Dan Owusu-Asiamah, a Ghanaian pastor, has urged Christians to stop paying tithe, claiming some pastors are using it as a means to defraud them. Owusu-Asiamah made the revelation on a radio programme on Monday, where he alleged that some pastors are defrauding church members because they use the tithe to enrich themselves. Apple became the first private company to surpass $1 trillion in stock market value Thursday following its latest surge after reporting strong quarterly earnings. Shares of Apple briefly hit $207.05 in late-morning trading, before retreating somewhat.
