Okupe, others arraigned for alleged diversion of N702m

Doyin Okupe, a former senior special assistant to the president, was yesterday arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on alleged money laundering and diversion of funds totalling N702million. Okupe was brought before Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu of a Federal High Court, Maitama, Abuja along with two companies, Value Trust Investment Ltd and Abrahams Telecoms Ltd allegedly involved in the commission of the fraud. Man kills wife and two sons in Edo

Uwaila, a 35-year-old man, has been arrested by the Edo State Police Command, for shooting his wife and two sons dead. The incident happened on Sunday at Ovbiogie village in the Ovia North-East Local Government Area of the state. Security agents were said to have evacuated the corpses to an undisclosed mortuary. 11 injured as thugs attack Saraki’s family quarter

No fewer than 11 people were reportedly injured as hoodlums invaded the Agbaji area of Ilorin, where the family residence of the President of the Senate, Dr Bukola Saraki, is located. Drunk dad rapes drunk daughter, on his wedding night

A 50-year-old man, who raped his own daughter on his wedding night “because he thought she was his wife” has been sentenced to two years and six months imprisonment. The man, from Denmark, was hosting his wedding reception at a country estate when his 20-year-old daughter, who was already intoxicated passed out in the bridal suite.
