The Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (NJC) on yesterday, Wednesday suspended its two months nationwide strike which paralysed activities in the courts. Members of the union had embarked on the strike on April 6 to press home their demand for the financial autonomy of the judiciary. The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), through the Assistant Comptroller for Immigration Service, Amos Okpu, has disclosed in a statement on Tuesday, that it has reopened the passport application and payment portal effective from June 8. The portal will begin to function by 12 midnight to allow eligible passport applicants to apply and make payments for the various categories of passports of their choice. NCC: Twitter operations blocked in Nigeria
