A tragic incident occurred in the Dinyavoh area of Jalingo, Taraba State, where a family of four, including the father, mother, and two children, suffered electrocution due to a morning power surge caused by a transformer explosion. The state Police Public Relations Officer, Usman Abdullahi, confirmed the incident but noted that the youngest child survived.
Several houses in the vicinity were also affected, leading to injuries among residents who are currently receiving medical treatment. According to a resident named Boniface Musa, they became aware of the situation when a neighbor raised an alarm about the transformer fire. Despite their efforts to assist, the family was tragically found lifeless inside their burning apartment.
