The Sokoto State Police Command has confirmed an attack by suspected bandits in the Soro community, Binji Local Government Area, resulting in three casualties and several injuries. The police, supported by the military, responded swiftly, repelling the attack. However, in frustration, the bandits set houses on fire, causing three fatalities and numerous injuries.
Tragically, the attackers also managed to abduct eight individuals, primarily women, who were taken away on motorcycles. The situation escalated due to a reprisal attack by vigilante groups on a Fulani community, prompting Police Commissioner Ali Kaigama to step in and initiate a dialogue among the affected residents.
