INEC suspends Dino Melaye’s recal

In compliance with the order of the Federal High Court, Abuja, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says it will temporarily suspend the recall process of Dino Melaye from the Senate. Mr. Melaye represents the Kogi West Senatorial District at the Upper Chamber. The Commission disclosed this in a statement issued by Adedeji Soyebi, INEC National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee on Thursday. Ademola Adeleke, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Osun West Senatorial District by-election, has defeated  the All Progressives Congress candidate, Senator Mudashiru Hussain, with total votes of  97, 480. INEC releases timetable for recall of Dino Melaye

Despite a lawsuit instituted by Senator Dino Melaye to stop INEC from proceeding with the process, the Independent National Electoral Commission on Monday released a timetable for the recall of the Senator from the Senate.
