Minister of Interior, retired Lt.-Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau has disclosed that the Federal Government has declared Monday, June 26 and Tuesday, June 27 as Public Holiday to mark Eid el Fitr. Islamic Cleric sentenced to 14 years imprisonment for attempted robbery

An Islamic cleric, Taofeek Olawale has been sentenced to 14 years imprisonment by a Lagos High Court sitting in Ikeja yesterday for attempted robbery. Justice Raliat Adebiyi gave the sentence after he was found guilty on the two-count charge of conspiracy and attempted armed robbery filed against him by the state government. Olawale has been in prison custody since 2012. Arrested billionaire kidnapper, Chukwudi Dumeme Onuamadike, aka Evans, has led a team of policemen from the Federal Anti-kidnapping Unit to the detention camps he operated for people he abducted. Isiaka Obadairo, a 52-year-old man has been arrested by the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly defiling a six-year-old girl.
