David Shakari, a 32-year-old man in the Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State, has been arrested by operatives of the Inspector-General of Police Intelligence Response Team for rape. The 32-year-old father of one reportedly raped his mother and ex-wife’s mother who are in their 50s and 60s respectively. Two global banks close offices in Nigeria
The Central Bank of Nigeria, in a report on Friday, said HSBC and UBS have closed their offices in Nigeria. The CBN revealed that foreign investment had fallen sharply from a year ago. It also said foreign direct investment in Nigeria fell to N379.84bn ($1.2bn) in the first half of the year from N532.63bn ($1.7bn) a year earlier. It did not give reasons for the banks’ closure.
