Man arrested for selling two-year-old son for N150,000

Udoh Abraham, a 52-year-old man, has been arrested by the Cross River State Police Command, for allegedly selling his two-year-old son for N150,000. Parading the suspect in Calabar, the state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Hafiz Inuwa, said the suspect was arrested on July 24 after the wife, Esther Abraham, reported the matter to the police. Inuwa explained that Udoh sold the child without the consent of his wife. 32 children rescued from child traffickers in Ekiti

The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) have arrested two alleged child traffickers, Stephen Udoh and Ede Thomas, for trafficking 32 minors to Ekiti for a yet-to-be ascertained purpose. They were arrested for allegedly engaging in the trafficking of the underage from Benue to Ekiti and other southwestern states for child labour and prostitution.
