The Presidency has reportedly spent about N37.6 billion on travel-related expenses between June 2023 and April 2026, according to an analysis of government spending records. The figure, put at approximately N37.64 billion, reportedly covers expenses linked to presidential travels, logistics, foreign exchange transactions and other costs associated with the Presidential Air Fleet. A woman identified as Mrs Iyabo Sowunmi has been arrested for allegedly attempting to smuggle a substance suspected to be cannabis into the Medium Security Custodial Centre, Ibara, Abeokuta, Ogun State. Sowunmi was reportedly arrested at about 1:33pm on Friday, August 28, 2026, during a routine security screening at the entrance of the custodial facility.
