Operation Hadarin Daji Neutralizes Four Bandits in Zamfara State During Intense Gunfight


Operation Hadarin Daji in Zamfara State successfully neutralized four bandits during a gunfight on Friday night in Maradun Local Government Area. The troops received information about the bandits’ plan to attack a community and swiftly engaged them in combat, preventing their access to the villages.

During the encounter, four bandits were killed, and others managed to escape with injuries. The operation resulted in the recovery of weapons, including one General Purpose Machine Gun, one FN Rifle, and 123 rounds of special ammunition.

In recent coordinated efforts, the troops also cleared bandits’ camps in various villages in Zamfara and Sokoto states, including Mutuwa, Guda tudu, Kawar, Dantayawa, Gidan Kare, Mahuta, and Gyado.

Major General Godwin Mutkut, the General Officer of 8 Division Sokoto and Commander of Joint Taskforce of Operation Hadarin Daji in the North-West zone, commended the troops for their successful operations in flushing out bandits from the region.

He urged the public to continue cooperating with the troops and provide valuable information about the whereabouts of bandits’ hideouts, assisting in the ongoing efforts to bring peace and security to the area.
