Guinness World Records Distances Itself from Nigerian Man’s Attempt at Longest Crying Marathon

Guinness World Records has publicly disassociated itself from Tembu Ebere, a Nigerian man who attempted to break a record for the longest crying marathon by an individual.

Ebere claimed that during his attempt, he went partially blind for 45 minutes due to the intense crying. He had to adjust his approach and reduce the intensity of his wailing due to headaches, puffy eyes, and a swollen face.

However, Guinness World Records stated that they did not approve such a record and would not be able to monitor it. They clarified that they only monitor specific records and cannot verify or endorse a record for the longest marathon crying.
