DSS Uncovers Politicians’ Plot to Incite Violent Protests Against Government

The Department of State Services (DSS) has revealed that it has uncovered a plot by certain politicians to organize violent protests aimed at undermining the Federal Government and security agencies on various socio-economic issues. According to the DSS spokesperson, Peter Afunanya, these plotters have been identified and are under surveillance.

The DSS has received intelligence reports indicating that these individuals are actively recruiting student leaders, ethnic groups, youth, and disgruntled factions to participate in these protests. They have identified the key instigators of this plot and are closely monitoring their activities to prevent any potential disruption to national peace.

To address this situation, the DSS has advised university vice-chancellors and heads of tertiary institutions to discourage their students from participating in activities that could disrupt public order. Parents and guardians are also urged to counsel their children and wards against getting involved in actions that go against the law and order.

The DSS acknowledges the government’s efforts to address the nation’s challenges and warns those who seek to undermine national security to reconsider their actions, emphasizing that it will take legal action against individuals and groups involved in such nefarious plans.
