Suspected Bandit Attack in Kaduna State Results in One Fatality and Abduction of 19 Villagers

In a distressing incident, suspected bandits have assaulted the Angwanwaku community in Kufana Chiefdom, situated in the Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State. During the attack that occurred around midnight on Saturday, one villager lost their life, and at least 19 others, including women, were abducted.

Tanimu Makaddas, the Secretary of the Chiefdom, confirmed the invasion by the attackers. He provided the names of the victims, revealing that Kukah Yari was killed, while Abuki Dogo sustained injuries during the assault.

Among those kidnapped were Yakubu Abba, Basiru Maiwada, Keziya Silas, Peace Silas, Lami Istifanus, Habila Musa, Bege Liazarus, Joshua Abuki, Juliana Habila, Stella Yohanna, Genesis Ezikiel, Deborah Ezikiel, Salomi Dutse, Rifkatu Zaphaniah, Tamar Liazarus, Ejah Habila, Rejoice Ezikeil, Catharine Silas, and Gundu Rubu.

Up to this point, there has been no official confirmation of the incident from either the police or the state government. The state Command’s acting Public Relations Officer, Mansir Hassan, had not responded to inquiries at the time of this report.
