REMO DAY 2025: A Celebration of Royal Leadership, Heritage and Sustainable Development

The Pioneer Rector of the Ogun State Polytechnic of Health and Allied Sciences, Ilese-Ijebu, Dr. R. Y. Akinbo, has extended warm greetings and heartfelt felicitations to the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland, His Royal Majesty, Alayeluwa Oba (Dr.) Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, CFR (Torungbuwa II), on the occasion of Remo Day 2025.

In a goodwill message released to commemorate the annual cultural celebration, Dr. Akinbo, on behalf of the Governing Council, management, staff and students of the institution, paid glowing tribute to the monarch’s exemplary leadership, visionary guidance and unwavering commitment to peace, unity and sustainable development in Remoland.

According to him, the reign of the Akarigbo has continued to inspire progress, strengthen cultural pride and promote purposeful collaboration among sons and daughters of Remoland, both at home and in the diaspora.

“As we conclude the glamorous Remo Day 2025 celebration at the Akarigbo Palace Pavilion, Ita-Oba, Sagamu, this year’s event once again provides a unique opportunity to reflect on our shared heritage, reaffirm our collective identity and renew our resolve to contribute meaningfully to the growth and advancement of our land,” he said.

Dr. Akinbo also extended warm greetings to Remo royal fathers, queens (Oloris), chiefs, traditional age-groups, community leaders and all indigenes of Remoland across the world, commending their collective roles in preserving the rich cultural heritage of the land.

He further specially commended the Executive Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, a proud son of Remoland from Iperu-Remo, for his pragmatic leadership style and notable achievements in infrastructure development, economic reforms and investment-driven growth across Remoland and Ogun State at large.

“As we celebrate Remo Day 2025, may this occasion further strengthen our unity, deepen our sense of purpose and inspire greater collaboration towards a peaceful and prosperous Remoland,” Dr. Akinbo added.
He concluded with prayers for the monarch and the people:

“Long live His Royal Majesty, the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland.
Long live Remoland.
Happy Remo Day 2025.”
