Transparency International says Nigeria is second most corrupt country in West Africa

The Global Corruption Index (CPI) 2020 released on Thursday by Transparency International, reveals that Nigeria fell three places to 149 out of 183 countries. The index reveals that Nigeria scored 25 out of 100 points in the 2020 CPI, falling back by one point compared to last year. Bandits raid Niger State, kidnap 56 people

The appointment of new military Service Chiefs, refused to deter bandits from their nefarious activities, as they killed at least two people while 56 others were kidnapped when they (suspected bandits) raided communities in two local government areas of Niger State. Civil servant strangles mother to death over money

A 42-year-old man, Clement Tumba has been arraigned before a Yola High Court for allegedly strangling his mother to death. Tumba, a father of five and resident of Dilchim community, in the Michika Local Government Area of Adamawa State, ended the life of his aged mother, Regina Daniel with a rope.
