The Ondo State Police Command has arrested a self-acclaimed prophet, Festus James, for allegedly raping a woman with eight months’ pregnancy. The suspect was said to have committed the offence at Agbabu community in the Odigbo Local Government Area of the state. Inflation may push 91 million Nigerians below poverty line -World bank report

The World Bank has revealed that the general increase in food prices which occurred between June 2020 and June 2021 may have increased the percentage of Nigerians living below the national poverty line from 40.1 per cent to 42.8 per cent. Waliu Salaudeen, a student of the Department of Microbiology, who was found guilty of assaulting a female lecturer in the same department has been expelled by the management of the University of Ilorin. A gas explosion on Ojekunle Street, off Ladipo Street, in the Mushin area of Lagos State has left five persons dead on Tuesday. Itunu Babalola, a 23-year-old woman, who was wrongly incarcerated in Cote d’Ivoire, is dead. Babalola died on Sunday after suffering from diabetes.
