A Nigerian-British businessman, Igho Ubiribo, popularly known as “Tiny,” has died after undergoing a penis enlargement procedure while on holiday in Thailand.
Ubiribo, 43, reportedly travelled to Bangkok with his wife, Danielle Simba Allen, in March 2026 for a luxury holiday.
According to evidence presented at a UK coroner’s inquest, the businessman underwent a cosmetic penis enlargement procedure at an unnamed clinic, where about 40ml of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine were injected.
However, shortly after the procedure, tragedy struck.
Ubiribo and his wife reportedly went for a massage at their hotel after the treatment, but during the massage, he complained of chest pain before collapsing twice.
He was rushed to Sukhumvit Hospital, where doctors suspected that he had suffered a pulmonary embolism.
A CT scan was recommended, but Ubiribo reportedly lost consciousness before the examination could be carried out.
Doctors subsequently moved him to intensive care and made prolonged attempts to revive him through cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Despite efforts to save his life, the 43-year-old businessman died in the early hours of March 6, 2026.
A postmortem examination later conducted in the United Kingdom reportedly found material in Ubiribo’s lungs consistent with the hyaluronic acid used during the penis enlargement procedure.
Pathologist John du Parcq told the inquest that the findings were consistent with a pulmonary embolism.
Coroner Jean Harkin subsequently concluded that the cosmetic procedure had caused the fatal pulmonary embolism.
Ubiribo was reportedly known for his lavish lifestyle and had built a significant following on social media. He was also associated with Nigerian music star Davido.
His death has raised concerns about the potential complications associated with cosmetic penis enlargement procedures, particularly those involving injectable fillers.
The case also highlights the risks that can arise from cosmetic procedures, even when they are marketed as minimally invasive.
