Fraudster switches ATM cards and steals N1.8m from elderly man in Kwara

A fraudster named Babatunde Adekunle has been arrested by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in Kwara State.

Adekunle was caught swapping the ATM card of an elderly man and subsequently withdrawing N1.8 million from the man’s account.

The NSCDC Commandant, Umar Mohammed, disclosed that Adekunle was apprehended along with six other suspects involved in illegal possession of railway sleepers.

Mohammed identified the suspects as Yunusa Bello, 41, Sanni Taminu, 35, Sanusi Lawal, 25, Alhaji Makeri,33, Lukman Sanni, 32, and Olabode Johnson, 41.

The Commandant expressed gratitude to the state government, traditional rulers, and the people of Kwara for their support and assured the public of continued efforts to maintain safety and security in the state.
