Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Ikechukwu Sunday Okonkwo, popularly known as Cross, has opened up about the extraordinary way he met his fiancée, claiming he saw her “spirit in heaven” before ever setting eyes on her in real life.
In a recent interview, the reality TV star recounted that the mysterious encounter occurred during a spiritual experience. According to him, he saw a lady in what he described as a heavenly realm, and the woman smiled and winked at him. That moment, he said, left an indelible mark on his mind.
Cross revealed that months later, he met the same woman at a church event in Abuja. “When I saw her, I knew instantly she was the one,” he said. “She looked exactly like the person I had seen in that vision. It felt like destiny.”
The fitness enthusiast said their relationship blossomed naturally after that first meeting. What drew him to her most, he added, was her deep spirituality and calm personality.
“She’s sweet, calm, and very calculated,” Cross said fondly. “She loves God, she prays, she fasts, and I know she’ll make a great wife and mother. That’s all I’ve ever wanted.”
Cross also admitted that he had struggled with communication and patience in past relationships, but described his current one as “peaceful and spiritually grounded.”
The former BBN housemate, who rose to fame during the “Shine Ya Eye” edition of the reality show, said he now believes true love goes beyond physical attraction. “When God shows you someone’s spirit before you meet them, you know it’s meant to be,” he added.
