Details of Paris Club refund to States released

In a statement by the Federal Ministry of Finance, the Federal government has released details of the second tranche of Paris Club refund to States totalling N243. 795 billion. The refund is in respect of over-deductions on Paris Club, London Club Loans and Multilateral debts between 1995-2002. Musicians react to FG’s proposed ban on shooting music videos abroad

The Federal Government have been criticised by some popular Nigerian musicians for planning to stop the production of Nigerian music videos abroad, saying the policy will hinder global competitiveness of the music industry. Omotayo Salawudeen, 39-year-old housewife, has confessed that she covered the mouth of her husband, Alhaji Hakeem Salawudeen, 43, while the assassin she hired stabbed him to death. Prices of diesel, cooking gas drop by in Q2’17

The Nigeria Bureau of Statistic, NBS, has disclosed in its latest report that the average prices of Automotive Gas Oil, AGO (diesel) and Liquefied Petroleum Gas, LPG, (cooking gas) decreased by 9.4 per cent and 9 per cent respectively between the first and second quarters of this year. The price paid by consumers for diesel decreased by 9.4 percent in the period under review to N218.7 as against N241.5 in the preceding quarter of the same year.
