The Minister of Defence, Maj.-Gen. Bashir Magashi (Rtd), has promised that the Federal Government would improve on the welfare of officers and soldiers of Nigerian Armed Forces to enhance their efficiency. Woman dies after abortion in Ebonyi

Mrs Chinasa Odah, a 29-year-old, mother of four children and native of Inikiri Effum community, in the Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State has died after she allegedly took drugs for abortion. Agaranwa Pal Ezinne, a Nigerian student in Ghana, has emerged the overall best graduating female student with a First Class Honours Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Technology from the Accra Institute of Technology, Ghana.  Agaranya, who was part of the graduating class of 2019, beat her colleagues with a cumulative GPA of 3.97. A citizen’s arrest has been ordered by the Imo state government on Thursday against Sen. Rochas Okorocha, over alleged assault on a government official, Mr Jasper Ndubuaku. Nigeria-Benin border shut to contain smuggling -Buhari
