Amaka Enemo, the National Coordinator, Nigeria Sex Workers Association, says sex workers in the country have been forced to suspend activities, especially in Lagos and Abuja due to the lockdown caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Ogun State governor, Dapo Abiodun, has said the lockdown of the state has been shifted to Friday. Abiodun said the state government made a request to the President Muhammadu Buhari, to shift the lockdown which was supposed to take place on Monday night to Friday, April 3, 2020, and has been granted.
