Bandits raid Niger State, kidnap 56 people

The appointment of new military Service Chiefs, refused to deter bandits from their nefarious activities, as they killed at least two people while 56 others were kidnapped when they (suspected bandits) raided communities in two local government areas of Niger State. Civil servant strangles mother to death over money

A 42-year-old man, Clement Tumba has been arraigned before a Yola High Court for allegedly strangling his mother to death. Tumba, a father of five and resident of Dilchim community, in the Michika Local Government Area of Adamawa State, ended the life of his aged mother, Regina Daniel with a rope. Fire razes 70 shops at Shomolu Market in Lagos

About 70 shops and goods worth millions of naira were destroyed yesterday in an early morning inferno at the Alade Market in Shomolu area of Lagos State.
