Bandits kill Senator Na’allah’s pilot son In Kaduna

Bandits in Kaduna State have killed Abdulkarim Bala Na’allah, the son of the senator representing Kebbi South senatorial district. The deceased, who was a pilot and the eldest child of Senator Bala Na’allah, was killed at his Malali residence in the Kaduna metropolis. COVID-19: Nigeria’s infections hit 188,880

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) says that Nigeria’s COVID-19 infections on Wednesday stood at 188,880. A total of 637 additional infections and seven deaths were recorded on Aug. 25, the NCDC announced via its verified website on Thursday. The new infections however indicate a decrease from the 655 cases reported on Tuesday. The public health agency noted that the seven COVID-19 related deaths recorded on Wednesday increased the country’s fatality figure to 2,288. A 47-year-old woman, Gertrude Akpan, has been sentenced to 10 years’ imprisonment by the Akwa Ibom State High Court sitting in Uyo, for trafficking in children.
