Yet-to-be identified gunmen reportedly opened fire on traditional rulers during a meeting, killing two of them in Imo State yesterday. One dead, fifteen rescued as building collapses in Lagos

An abandoned two-storey building has been demolished after a section of the structure collapsed around Haruna Bus Stop, in the Ikorodu area of Lagos state. It was gathered that the section collapsed around 10pm on Monday. While no fewer than 12 occupants of the building were rescued, three were trapped. A trader, Abdulhamid Yakubu, of Bakin Dogo, was on Wednesday sentenced to receive 80 strokes of cane by a Sharia Court sitting in Magajin Gari, Kaduna State, for denying his sixth child’s paternity. Prices of Liquefied Petroleum Gas, LPG, also known as cooking gas across Nigeria continued on the upward trend, despite significant increase in local production of the product. The product local production according to the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA) report on LPG supplied in September 2021, released yesterday, increased to 49,453.081 Metric Tonnes, MT, in September 2021.
