Jehovah’s Witnesses homes raided by Russian police

Several homes belonging to Jehovah’s Witnesses numbering up to 20, were raided by security operatives in Moscow on Wednesday, in an ongoing crackdown on the US-based religious movement. Moscow outlawed the Jehovah’s Witnesses in 2017, labelling it an extremist organisation and has since sentenced several members to lengthy jail terms. The Investigative Committee, which probes major crimes, said on Wednesday several “organisers and members” had been detained. Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA bursted a consignment of cocaine at the Tincan Port in Lagos, worth N32billiion. The consignment, was smuggled innto Nigeria from Brazil aboard a vessel marked MV SPAR SCORPIO. Transparency International says Nigeria is second most corrupt country in West Africa
