Redeemed church minister in EFCC net over N11million fraud 

Ameh Cyril Idakwoji, who was a Minister with the Redeemed Church of God (RCCG) has been arrested for defrauding N11 million from his parish in Port Harcourt through forged letterheads and signature of the church’s accountant. The suspect, who is currently under the custody of the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), defrauded his church by diverting cheques and cash meant for the church. Mercy Olamide Afolaranmi, a student of Microbiology at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, has committed suicide. Abdullahi Sani, a 50-year-old resident of Funtua, Katsina State, also a father of seven children has been arraigned before a Katsina Senior Magistrate’s Court, over allegations of raping a three-year-old girl to death.
