Girl kills mother with hot water over detergent

Winifred Ngutesen Ingyaji, 18, from Ute-Tse-Kpun, Vandeikya Local Government Area of Benue State, bathed her mother, Mrs Mbachirin Ashiekaa to death with hot water. The suspect also injured her sister-in-law, Mrs Jennifer Betsee, who is currently receiving treatment at Bishop Murray Hospital Makurdi. Afolabi Samuel, a pastor of the Living Faith Church, aka Winners’ Chapel, has been sentenced to three years’ imprisonment by a Lagos State Special Offences Court in Ikeja, for stealing $90,000 and N4.5m belonging to the registered trustees of the church. Man inflicts wounds on kidnapper, escapes

Chinweizu, a United States of America-based Nigerian has reportedly escaped from kidnappers’ den after beating the kidnapper, a Fulani to pulp. Chinweizu was said to have been abducted on the Akara Isuikwuato Road in Abia State alongside an unidentified woman. Some labourers hired by three Chinese miners have been reportedly abducted on a mining site located at Akere Village near Ifewara, Osun State. Before the men were abducted, it was gathered that a policeman attached to the expatriates was killed.
