Lost €37,000 found by Air Force personnel, returned to owner

Bashir Umar, a Nigeria Air Force personnel, has returned the sum of €37,000 (N312.7 million) to its owner, Alhaji Ahmad, who misplaced the money at the Hajj Camp in Kano State. Umar, a member of the NAF Mobile Air Defence Team (MADT), was on duty with his colleagues when he found the money on 16, July 2019. Suleiman Iyanda, a 71-year-old man, alongside an ex-convict, Gbenga Ajibade, Sunday Alabi, 30, and 45-year-old Wasiu Tiamiyu, were on Thursday, arraigned before an Osun State Magistrates’ Court sitting in Osogbo for allegedly stealing four commercial mini buses. Wasiu Orilonise, a 37-year-old guard, has confessed to an Oyo State Magistrates’ Court sitting in Ibadan that he raped his 15-year-old daughter in order to ascertain her virginity and protect her.
