The Federal Government has been asked by the Islamic Republic of Iran, to release the embattled Islamic cleric, Sheik Ibraheem El-Zakzaky, to enable him travel to that country for medical treatment. Floods in India’s northeastern state of Assam have killed 167 wild animals, says forest officials on Tuesday. The officials said that the deaths was reported in Kaziranga national park, whose over 90 per cent of the area was inundated. “167 animals including 16 rhinos were killed in the Kaziranga national park due to floods. “The forest department and other agencies have rescued 64 animals so far,” wildlife officials said.
