Nigeria has registered 1,584 new COVID-19 infections on Friday with Lagos State leading. Lagos, the smallest state in Nigeria has a land mass of 1,171.28 square kilometres and an estimated population of between 17.5 million and 21 million as of 2020. COVID-19: 107 inbound passengers test positive in one week

According to data obtained from the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control website on Wednesday, no fewer than 107 inbound passengers to Nigeria have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last one week. A woman, Patience Godswill, has been sentenced to seven years’ imprisonment by the Ondo State High Court for stealing and selling a two-year-old girl, Blessing, in Omifon town, in the Odigbo Local Government Area of the state.
