Low power generation in 14 plants cripple electricity supply nationwide -TCN

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), has said that power generating profile in the last two months showed that 14 gas stations were either not generating at all or had limited generation at various times within the period. Spokesperson for TCN, Ndidi Mba, said the development further depleted the quantum of power generation available for transmission into the grid on daily basis. A 21-year-old tailor, Oluwabamise Ayanwole, who was recently declared missing has been found dead. Ex minister sentenced to three months imprisonment for fraud

Former Minister of Water Resources, Sarah Ochekpe, has been sentenced to three months imprisonment by a Federal High Court in Jos, alongside two others for N450 million fraud. The two others are Raymond Dabo and Leo Jitung, both sentenced to three months imprisonment each. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) charged them in 2018 with conspiracy and money laundering.
