Loretta Anoh Allegedly Kills Boyfriend, Steals Mercedes-Benz 4MATIC and Nearly N3 Million in Uyo

A woman identified as Loretta Anoh was arrested by the Akwa Ibom State Police Command over the alleged murder of her boyfriend, Chikoka Emeka Henry, in Uyo, before allegedly fleeing with his Mercedes-Benz 4MATIC SUV and nearly N3 million in cash.

The incident occurred at the deceased’s residence in Osongama Estate, Uyo, where Henry, 36, was found dead in a pool of blood after his brother, Collins Okpara, visited the apartment when repeated phone calls went unanswered. Police said preliminary findings revealed that the victim had sustained a severe head injury.

Investigators identified Loretta Anoh as the last person seen entering the victim’s apartment on August 3, 2021. Acting on intelligence, operatives tracked and arrested her while she was allegedly making arrangements to transfer ownership of the deceased’s black Mercedes-Benz 4MATIC to herself.

During a search, police recovered N2,943,250, which they said the suspect admitted taking from the victim. The stolen Mercedes-Benz SUV was also recovered.

The then Akwa Ibom Police Public Relations Officer, SP Odiko MacDon, said the Commissioner of Police ordered that the case be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for a thorough investigation and possible prosecution. He also urged members of the public to exercise caution in their personal relationships.
