Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has revealed that his wife, Chioma Adeleke, now manages his finances, describing himself as a “reckless spender.”
The singer made the disclosure in a viral video that began trending on Wednesday after he was seen calling Chioma to help transfer $4,000 to his longtime personal assistant, Lati, because he was unable to access his bank account.
In the video, Davido affectionately told his wife:
“Hello, hello baby, good morning my wife, my love. Help me send Lati $4,000. I can’t login, I don’t know why, it’s the service here. Alright. We’re taking off now to Naija, I love you.”
Following the call, his official streamer, Davreltv, asked whether Chioma had taken over the management of his finances.
Responding with a smile, Davido confirmed the arrangement, saying:
> “Yeah. My wife handles my money. I’m a reckless spender.”
He went on to describe Chioma as his “life coordinator,” explaining that she oversees many aspects of his personal life, including his finances.
