Two members of Zamfara state House of Assembly have been suspended for their alleged involvement in aiding and abetting banditry in the state. The two lawmakers are alleged to have aided the kidnap of the Speaker’s father, and the murder of another colleague of theirs. Kenyan athlete found dead with stab wounds

In a suspected homicide, record-breaking Kenyan distance runner Agnes Tirop was found dead on Wednesday with stab wounds to stomach, athletics officials said. Tirop, 25, was a fast-rising athlete — a double world 10,000m bronze medallist and 2015 world cross county champion who also finished fourth in the 5,000m at the Tokyo Olympics this year.
