Eric Arubayi, the 3rd runnerup of West African Idol who is also the son of former Vice Chancellor of the Delta State University is dead.
The Delta State University community in Abraka was thrown into mourning last night when the sad news of the death of Eric Arubayi Jnr filtered into town.
According to the HOD, Mass Communication Department of the University, Dr. Emmanuel Ufuophu-Biri, Eric Arubayi Jnr died yesterday evening Saturday 11th February, 2017 at the DELSU Teaching Hospital, Oghara after battling an illness.
The singer who celebrated his 3rd wedding anniversary on Dec. 28th 2016, left behind the parents, Prof & Prof (Mrs) Eric Arubayi, a wife, Chinonso and a son. He was just in his mid-30s.
