Dejumo Lewis, a veteran Nollywood actor, famous for his role in the beloved ‘Village Headmaster’ series, has passed away at the age of 80.

The news of his demise was shared by actor Saidi Balogun on Instagram. Dejumo Lewis, known for portraying the character Kabiyesi in ‘The Village Headmaster,’ which aired from 1968 to 1988, has left an indelible mark on Nigerian film and television.

Saidi Balogun’s heartfelt tribute on Instagram reads, “Good night DEJUMO LEWIS, may your soul rest in perfect peace. RIP.” Though the details surrounding Lewis’ passing remain undisclosed, his contributions to the Nigerian entertainment industry are widely celebrated.
