Members of the Christ Apostolic Church in Akure, Ondo State, who were abducted just one week ago, were released on Thursday evening. Reports indicate that their freedom came after their families paid a ransom of N50 million.
The abduction had occurred in the Elegbeka area of Ose Local Government Area while they were traveling to Ifon along the Benin-Akure Expressway last Friday. A family source revealed that they were released at the same location in Elegbeka where they were initially kidnapped.
