Former Minister Ajose-Adeogun dies at 96

Chief Mobolaji Ajose-Adeogun, a prominent business titan and former Federal Capital Territory (FCT) minister, has passed away at the age of 96. The news of his death was confirmed by a family member, Oluremi Ajose-Adeogun, in a statement released on behalf of the family.

Chief Mobolaji Ajose-Adeogun was appointed as the FCT minister by the General Muritala Mohammed military government and played a crucial role in developing the Master Plan for Abuja during his tenure.

Prior to his appointment as FCT minister, he served as a Federal Commissioner for Cooperatives and Supply and later as the Federal Commissioner for Special Duties at the Federal Capital Development Authority.

In addition to his government service, Ajose-Adeogun had a distinguished career at the Shell Petroleum Development Company and made significant contributions to the fields of manufacturing and real estate.

Chief Mobolaji Ajose-Adeogun held the title of chief of Ita-Aladan, Obun Eko, Isale Eko in Lagos until his passing.
