In Odigbo, Ondo State, a Chief Magistrate Court ordered the imprisonment of Kayode Ojo for trying to commit suicide while in police custody. The police had arrested him for this act, charging him with attempted murder under Section 327 of the Criminal Code of Ondo State.
Ojo admitted guilt, and Chief Magistrate D. O. Ogunfuyi remanded him in Okitipupa Correctional Centre. The case is scheduled for further proceedings on October 10, 2023.
